Key Business Needed: Technology to stand out from the competition
Challenge
With so many fitness options near his facility (CrossFit and otherwise), Turn 2 CrossFit owner Tony Turski needed a way to stand out from the crowd. He knew his members were open to technology inside his box because of their strong adoption of Wodify Perform, so he went looking for a way to take their performance tracking and engagement one step further.
Solution
He didn’t have to look far. He decided to add Wodify Pulse heart rate training to his gym because he saw the valuable real time data it provides his members and how easily it syncs with his existing Wodify Kiosk. He sent a mass email to his members with an explanation of why he thought Wodify Pulse, and its wearable activity belts powered by Myzone, would be a worthwhile addition to Turn 2 CrossFit’s amenities. The response was amazing. “We completely sold out of belts in the first two days! We didn’t even have it set up yet!” said Turski.
“Now, our workouts are designed to incorporate heart rate training every day.”

Results
Wodify Pulse has been a financial boom to Turn 2 CrossFit, adding thousands of dollars to the gym’s bottom line. Currently, 70% of his members use Wodify Pulse, and in order for them to get the most value, Turski has made a concentrated effort to not only mention the benefits of Wodify Pulse before every class, but to work it into his programming. “Now our workouts are designed to incorporate heart rate training every day.” Turski and his coaches can now easily monitor the efforts of his Pulse athletes from the Wodify display inside the gym to make sure they’re meeting the appropriate stimulus and getting the most out of their workout.
